Delicious Death

Well yesterday was a good day!! I went to a cookout/pool party to one of my best friend's house after not seeing her in 6 months! it was amazing! i missed her so much! :)

She love to cook too, so we made a amazing chocolate cake! (called "Delicious death") we got the recipe from Agatha Christie's cooking book (with all the recipes from her books...it's wonderful!) this one was from her book "A murder is announced". It was delicious and really easy!

It was a great party, a lot of people showed up and we had a great time.

She's planning a "Tea party" next week, so i guess we're making cupcakes and muffins and some other things!...yumm!

Agatha Christie's chocolate cake

250g. dark chocolate (we used 300g.)
120g. butter at room temperature (softened)
150g. sugar
40g. flour
6 eggs
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of brandy
150g. raisins

preheat oven to 200° c

1. Melt the butter and cut the raisins and mix them with the brandy and set them aside
2. Melt the chocolate, and when its melted, add the butter and mix until incorporated
3. Add sugar and mix well
4. separate egg yolks and egg whites
5. add the egg yolks to the chocolate, butter and sugar mixture
6. whisk the egg whites until fluffy and add them to the mixture
7. add the flour little by little
8. add the raisins and brandy to the batter and then add the vanilla extract

Im new at this

Well I started this because I asked one of my cousins in Virgina for a "chocolate cupcake" recipe, because i've been really bored lately, and I LOVE to cook, so as I have a lot of free time, im gonna try to cook some new things this summer.
My cousin gave me a link to one of the most delicious cupcakes i've ever seen!! it was from "joythebaker's" blog, (actually im gonna make them tomorrow) and I kept reading all her recipes and discovered other blogs, so im gonna give this a try...let's see what happens :)
